BACKGROUND
Silas Akiro, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, is the Founding Partner at Akiro & Associates Advocates. With close to five (5) years of experience, he is held in high esteem for his Litigation and Dispute Resolution expertise in Kenya. He specialises in administrative and judicial law, banking & commercial litigation, corporate & commercial law, employment and labour disputes, international trade and tax disputes, Legal Compliance Audits, Legislative Drafting, Estate Planning, Family Law & Succession, Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Claims, Aviation Law and Maritime Disputes, Land & Environmental Disputes, Children matters, Divorce & Separation, Education & Institutional Law, Health & Sports, Regional Integration & Crossborder Disputes among others.
He has practised in the Arbitration & Mediation fora, Court of Appeal of Kenya, the High Courts of Kenya, Employment & Labour Courts, Environment & Land Courts, Several Magistrates Courts and various Tribunals across the country's vast counties.

EXPERIENCE

① Represented the County Governement of Kisumu in a Medical Negligence Claim against its staff at a Hospital, the County Attorney among others and successfully saved the County from a claim of close to Ksh.30 Million (USD233,000.00)
② Represented clients on various disputes relating to historical injustices, administrative flaws and criminal claims among others;
③ Redrafted the County Solid Waste Management Bill for one of the Counties in Kenya;
④ Drafted Policies, Rules and Regulations for major corporations and Non Governement Organizations in Kenya and beyond;
⑤ Represented clients in a number of personal injury claims;
⑥ Represented clients in Custody & Maintenance Claims, Divorce & Separation matters, Successions & Estate Planning among others;
⑦ Sits in several corporate Boards undertaking Advisories and Compliance Audits among others;
